As Beau0090_99 stated there is no real drawback to 6S, and there is one BIG advantage to it...
Namely you can get to 6S using 3S packs!
If you wire up two 3S packs in series, it will become one 6S pack of the same capacity.
This gives you the flexibility of purchasing smaller packs that you can use on other electrics.
I avoid all-in-one 6S packs altogether because of this... 4S is as large as I typically go in a single pack, for more voltage I wire them up in series instead.... for flexibility... and compatibility with most of my Intelligent chargers/cyclers/balancers.
But that's just my preference.
However, you can run the prop at 8800 RPM without problems, you just need a bit more pitch to sustain the same speeds.
