Hi Bill,

I recommend to balance the third scale Waco about 1inch in front of the aft strut, That's the way how I fly the ship without any bad habits during landing. May be as it is a bit aft than on the full scale it might be due to the airfoil we are using. It is not the original Clarc Y but a symetrical Epler airfoil we are using.

The change in airfoil would surely explain a difference in the balance point (to a degree) but, still, one inch ahead of the rear strut, still puts the C/G ahead of where most of the Kit producers place it. The Pica, which uses the Clark Y is reccomended to be at about 45%. No wonder we have had so many problems with the trim, and the landings.
