I agree with the 2 pack idea. The 8880 speed is with the motor unloaded with his 4S configuration, he wouldn't make any power at that speed though.

Yeah not on that size of a plane. I normally reserve the 4S packs for .25 - .32 sized planes at most... then use multiple packs for larger planes.

I'm a fan of series wiring 3S packs or 4S packs for larger planes.
