Small kids and pets don't play well with planes, I've had my cats destroy some of my planes finishes by chewing on bit's of them, dogs can be worse, not only do they treat it like a chew toy, they can crush them without even trying too hard. So I guess if I do have kids someday or get a dog, I'll need a seperate lockable shop to hide my planes in.
