You're right, I see the DL100 now, my mistake. After I blew the picture up I can see the clearance made in the crankcase for the cylinder stubs, looks like it was done with a die grinder or a dremel tool. The cylinder to connecting rod alignment is critical to the survival of the thrust side of the piston, though I would have chosen a new crankcase it looks like a fun experiment. I have sold the parts to do this conversion to a couple of customers, if you include crankshaft main bearings it runs about $325 in parts.
It was done by hand with a die grinder as were all the ports and piston (look closer). But it was lined up and placed in perfect position with a template and the alignment of the repositioned cylinder bolts. The cylinder bolts being the main reason i recomended a new dle111 case set. Cos by the time you split the case and remove bearings and crank turn the case tidally in a lathe you still have to redo the cylinder bolts. Easier to just buy the cases as i did with my 50.
Never the less the motor screams,not bad for a $150 AUD all up in parts and some time.
