Sorry, but the BME hammers on the DLE. Good engine with the DLE but is not in the top two on stock (factory) exhaust.
For those that want to list engines using a tuned exhaust system to obtain the power output, fairness cannot be used for comparatoive purposes unless the tuned exhaust system is included in the new and basic selling price of an engine.
That is a non-argument, and you know it.
My 50cc MX engine that produced about 12hp on a close ratio geared tuned pipe, and 9.5 hp on a wide band tuned pipe would only produce about 4.5 horses on a short stack, and would be well served with 3.5 horses on a restricting side dump muffler. A powerfull engine? You bet! But it would loose to your definition. We are talking power here, not means to bias the views.
