i use two of these
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXLZK0&P=7 in my planes. that way if one of them fails you still have the other one, and they are much cheaper than other switches. a little soldering is required if you want it to fit w/ your standard battery. cut off the small switch connector, cut off your battery connector, solder your battery connector(to make a charge port)/switchs/battery together. takes 5min and is cheaper and safer than other switches because you have 2 of them.
i also make my own yharnesses/ servo extension. w/ this

then use some heat shrink tubeing over the solder connections. and thats it. much cheaper and less likely to fail.

much cheaper to buy the wire/ cut the servo wire/ and solder some more on. i can do 25+ servo extensions for the price of 1 extension
