Read the instructions before starting (preferably twice)

Try to avoid using too much glue. For your first plane I suggest you use PVA/Aliphilactic glue as it gives you time to reposition, take apart if you do anything wrong (which you probably will do, I did, and still do). But use epoxy if told to in the instructions for any part.

Trial fit every thing before using glue.
