Default RE: TEXAS ARMOR ANNUAL SEPT BATTLE WEEKEND 2009!

Ladies and Gents,

From time to time I like to take a trip / vacation and slip in some time at neighboring ARMOR CLUBs... My last trip took my wife and I to Denver Colorado... WELL,,, So happened that FRAG (FRONT RANGE ARMOR GROUP) is in Littleton Colorado which is a short drive from Denver... In anticipation of my travel I contacted Ken and Paul of FRAG... They cordially invited us to visit them...
So on a given Monday afternoon we met up with them at their front range battlefield...

They are very blessed to have such a wonderful site... The land they are on is school system land that was once littered with garbage/dump... and They were able to negotiate a "renovation" and maintenance agreement with the school system and have been proud landlords for about 5+ years now... they have done a marvelous job of landscaping their outdoor battlefield with over 500 artificial evergreen trees.... plus lots of great "HILLS" , valleys, rail line, and heavy duty crossing bridges. They have decorated lots of dioramas that they place on the battlefield to increase the realism of battle... With their background in G SCALE TRAINS and plastic models,,,they are able to produce some stunning buildings and appointments that bring their battlefield to life!

My wife and I had a great visit meeting KEN and Paul, running tanks, learning about their club, touring the grounds and even learning about some new ideas to use on our battlefield here in TEXAS...

THanks Ken and Paul again... and I appreciate the dragons teeth and sandbags .. I was able to get them through airport security after explaining to them the nail is not a fuse in a plastic explosive!!!

We look forward to having you and some of your friends at our TEXAS ARMOR Battle Weekend in SEPTEMBER!!!

Here are some photos from this recent trip up to COLORADO and FRAG
Their club's website is : http://www.fragarmor.org/Home.htm should be updated again soon... as Ken the webmaster is working on a totally new layout...

-SEE YOU ALL ON THE BATTLEFIELD!
