Go to your hobby store and get a fiberglass repair kit with patches and some grey model paint. Yes your plug is bad. My Gator goes through plugs pretty fast when I run it on grass. I maybe get 10-12 5min runs then I have to change plugs. I've tried running the boat as rich as possible w/o it stalling and it still eats plugs on grass. On water your plugs will last longer.
