Not exactly guys...
Collective pitch can be measured with the blades in any position.
The important thing is to have the flybar level, 90° to the main shaft, and to align the pitch gauge with the leveled flybar. It's just easier to do this with the blades at 3 and 9 o'clock.
It's always a good idea to check the pitch on both blades and on both sides of the heli.
Cyclic Aileron pitch is measured at full left and right stick with the blades aligned with the boom.
Cyclic Elevator pitch is measured at full forward and backwards stick with the blades at 3 and 9 o'clock, again.
