Try dampening the side that is on the inside of the curve, and weighing it down again. If that doesn't work, do it again, but place it so that the tips are up and the center is against the table. Then, take a piece of thin sheeting about 3" wide and as long (or longer then the chord of the stab, and weigh down the tips.
