Rpm have a good rep, but they aren't infallible. Their Slash rear hubs are weaker than stock, and their rc18 bumpers are known for shattering easily.
I have a hard time believing that. Someone may have gotten a lemon(no company is perfect), but from what I've seen, the material they use gets its strength from its good ability to flex. So it seems rather unlikely that it'd shatter.
