NOBODY can SYMPATHIZE more with Dave than the underwritten : been through that gate twice before, and "almost" there again for the third time last year with " IKE "
DAVE : I truly know what you go through, today. I sincerely hope that you get by with no damage. Both my cars ( Buick Regal '94) and ( Nissan P/U '97) didn't quite get to float, but the Buick levelled the water in the garage with the bottom of the doors. And that water level stayed on for 40 hours. With " ALICE " in 1983 I got myself into water that was as high as the top of the hood and ONLY
because I have manual transmission was able to keep it going to the other side. Passed 1 late model Cadillac, 1 ambulance and 1 Chevrolet PU all of which had ingested water and were dead, right there. Going past I couldn't help but make a WAVE and I am
sure I got cussed for three generations to come, but did manage to keep the engine going with throttle pressure.
RICK-FLOODS are NO JOKE - two pics. of IKE the photo was taken from the front door and in the back....two INCHES more and the house would have flooded. it came that close... I may want to ADD that my house sits on the HIGHEST LEVEL of this neighborhood, take a look at the parked car in the pic, just two houses away and the water level there is up to the doors. The neighbor down the street had put his car on MY drive , to save it.
Best wishes
