The Magnum .46 is a sweet running engine and would fly the plane. A Magnum .52 would make it way over powered. They are a little hard to get but a K&B .48 would rip the wings off the plane.

What fuel are you running in the MDS? the ones I have touched liked very low nitro. 5% nitro worked very well. We ran 5% heli fuel. the MDS line had lots of air leaks and needed to be sealed up. They did like large props. Sort of like a 4S, load them up and use the torque of the engine.
