Tape on the inside of the tire to keep them from ballooning. I'm not sure why you've never heard of it, I've read about it just about everywhere.
Tires balloning on the straightaway will be normal. Like I said, I havent heard of 1 person not do it. And when I marshall where I can see the striaght, everyone's front tires are balloning, because of the center diff.
