Default RE: skyshark kits no more

Hi EvilMerlin,

I got my FW190D9 parts and plans a couple of weeks ago. Nicely cut and shrinkwrapped in plastic. Only non scale thing about the FW190 is the position of the retracts. It's no problem to move the retracts from the shortened wheelbase to the actual scale position. Just a simple matter of moving it out by one rib spacing. Still compared to the top flite version or Pica version it is way more accurate in outline.

Did you have your retracts in the scale location and using a scale angle of 74 or 80 degrees? instead of 85? and did you use spring airs? Are they robust enough to take hard landings? (not crash landings )

Do you have any photos to share? I'm thinking of starting a build log sometime in future and may use Brian Taylor FW190 plans to incorporate some of the finer scale things - e.g. frise ailerons, tail wheel position
