Thanks John. I understand if the surfaces moved in opposite directions tighter loops would be possible. I call it "chasing the tail" in a tight loop. I don't know for sure but I'm thinking that this mix causing up flaps (ailerons), aka airbrake, along with up elevator would allow hi alpha flight, aka harrier, to be performed with less chance of a wing drop or rocking.

Having a brain fart here. Does this make sense or do I have it backwards?

Maybe now that I've got the programming down I should pose this question in the 3D forum?
