If I were you, I would go with a 6 volt system with about 1400-1600 capacity cells. This is because you will be able to take this battery into your next plane, which may have 5 or 6 servos and it will still last a long time. The weight gain really isn't that much and your servos will be faster and hold stronger with the 6 volts.
