Last time I asked GP that question I was told it was cheaper for them to have the ARF built and covered, even cheaper then just a RTC plane?? It didn't make sense to me but if they are set up in China to build ARFs and the kit is cut in the USA I can understand that. Why they just can't put the parts in a box and send them over here is a mystery to me but it is what it is.
