RE: Need source for canopy for Curare
Further flights have provided more information with regard to the landing speed.
I moved the center of gravity back about 3/8 of an inch which made a huge difference - she rolls better (without hardly any elevator correction) - and flares better in the landing.
I added a few more degrees of flap and she definitely slowed down more. I tried adding down flapperon and she floated a bit more still. I tried Up flapperon and down flaps (I think the glider guys call this Crow mixing - my 9303 calls it "butterfly") - this steepens the angle of the approach a LOT - speed stays about the same - but it does avoid the long trip down the runway trying to get her slowed down. I wonder if being an electric she is cleaner drag-wise at the front without a great big engine cylinder and tuned pipe dragging in the breeze.
Next time I am going to try adding brake to the ESC - as I noticed that the prop is buzzing around still - even throttled fully back.
Overall her flying is great though - loops and rolls are just brilliant. For some reason my stall turns are a bit hit and miss - maybe I need more rudder throw? I have to work on that one.
