I think what has everyone confused is that you state that your priming is working fine (you go full throtle for I believe four seconds and the pump will run for one second) leading everyone to think that the pump wiring is correct, but then you state that during the first few seconds after commanding a starting sequence the pump runs, if that is the case and your ECU is set-up and wired correctly then it is defective, please validate that the pump is actually running after you trigger a starting sequence. If you find out that the pump is not really running as you stated before, then you should be OK on the pump, next step is to check the starter power parameters, do you know how to get into the programming menu of the ECU?
