Open up the shrink tubing on the starter/pump connector that goes into the ECU, if possible post a pic of the connections after you remove the covering, the behavior you describe seems like a short circuit between the pump and the starter, do not try any more starts until you check the connections to be correct to your ECU connection labels, you could burn out the mosfets on the pump/starter speed controls
