Default RE: Comp ARF BAE Hawk build thread

ORIGINAL: Dave Wilshere

It's been a long time coming, but boy was it worth it.
I finally test flew the Hawk today at Chalgrove, 9 flights were completed, the first four with me and five friends then stole a flight each, as I knew some people would question my word. The first two flights had me adjust expo, In truth it was very close on the first flight allowing me to run through the book of manoeuvres on the first tank. Further flights proved what a wonderful aeroplane this is-fast and slooooowww. Take off with a P120SX is anything from 30-50m you choose! This is the perfect turbine for this aeroplane, plenty of vertical and 10-12 minute flights with the CARF tank.
My C of G is 195mm back from the break line, this suits most of the people who flew in today. Hopefully some of them will jump in, but Steve Elias had some very good things to say about it...Geoff.
Trevor Skedge, Rob Westwater, Luke Barnett and Colin Gontier all had a flight each...super easy to fly aeroplane. No couple in knife edge, my set up needed 3% down on full flap, no other mixes needed.
Walking pace landings make this a great grass field model, I don't expect to need more than 60m of grass with a breeze like today.
