RE: morgans fuel
The trouble with adding castor to Cool Power or any other synthetic fuel, or even a castor blend fuel, is the it doensn't just change the castor content, but delutes the Methonal and Nitro content.
Six oz of castor to a gallon of Omega 15% screws up the mix enough that you wouldn't want to fly it. Howerver, it is great break in fuel. I put together a spread sheet a while back to see what the real blend was when you started adding castor. Kind of interesting the blends you get.
I've got a half gallon of Omega left from a couple years back when I was breaking in a couple new engines. It wasn't a good mix for flying, but it's probalby still good for break in on a couple new engines I have.
A lot of the "red" rust you see in an engine that has sat for a while is from the dye in the fuel. I've heard guys that tore down an engine that had several gallons of Cool Power thrugh it and they commented about everything being green inside. The red is mostly dye rich varnish from the castor. That is why when you pull a gummed up engine out of moth balls, and get it freed up some, the "rust" doesn't seem to have effected it. Once it is loose again, it runs just fine.
Last, Morgan is now producing Cool Power in Pink. Go figure.
