Default RE: Problem Venom Smart Temp

Problem is due to a very brief loss of battery power due to the battery tray clips. If power loss is lessr than a 1/10 of a second(estimate) the smart temp will stop sending pulses to the servo and it will rest at what ever setting it had without any holding power. So during a bump or high RPM period typivally full throttle, the batteries will chatter on the contacts and the car goes of to the races!!! The fix is for venom to make a better unit and for a rechargeble pack to be iinstalled. I still have not decided what to do with mine!!! I am using UniRoss Hybrio batteries AA which are great but need to solder them together. They last a very long time and have a very slow self discharge rate like the Sanyo Eneloop batteries. If the loss of powrer is longer than a very breif time the smart temp will restart and you will get control in about 5 seconds or so which is much better than never. As you know when this happens you still have steering control and turning off the recicver and back on make all well until another bump or high RPMrev causing this to happen again!.
