That is a far hop for you, but same for some of us in south FL, the last contest, I drove 722 miles, one way, TN. If you don't have an old pattern plane hanging in the basement, or in the attic, you of course can build one, or get started fast, a World Model's Intruder. Put together, engine, modern radio, ready to go. There may be some senior pattern activity in your area. Attached two of these Intruder's I am flying now, they are ARF's, one original cover, the other stripped and re-covered.
