Give me more detail info such as which city you will live, what kind of flying style (sports, scale, pattern or IMAC; electric or nitro etc.) you are looking for. I will notify my friends in Taiwan when you go there.
RC gears in general are cheaper than in US. You better take your 2.4GHz with you. Since not many mode-2 available and freuency control is always a problem.
Taipei Model Aircraft Association is the biggest club in north Taiwan. IMAC style is the most popular style in there (they call TOC plane)
