Wow, what a wide open question.
I would suggest that you go
Hobby Lobby's site and look at all the different electric planes they have. They will also list the recommended ESC's, batteries, etc. so you'll have an idea of what needed for each plane.
Of course, they aren't the only people selling planes, but at least you can get a good idea of what's on the market, prices, general info, etc.
