Actually, you don't need more channels to do the lights thing. A 3racing light set will turn on the left and right turn signals as you turn left or right. It will also make the brake lights brighter when you're actively braking, make the headlights brighter as you move forward and turn on backup lights as you go in reverse.

I have a JR 12X for my helis and I've been toying with the idea of using it on my summit. I've got a set of proline rack lights that have leds in them, a 3racing winch, more 3racing lights coming, thinking of adding an amber flashing light and of course the 4 channels for the actual truck. Not sure what else I can come up with but I want to see if I can get up to all 12 channels used if I can, even if the receiver is $200....
