Default VTOL motor/Battery help

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 1px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 1px; ">i there,
I hope the afternoon is treating everyone well. I have been reading the forums for quite a while now but due to work kicking my butt I have just gotten around to tackling my next project. So I am trying to make a VTOL (probably obvious from the title)

<div id="post_message_33776">I am guessing the body will come in at around 8-10oz + 4 oz for the recever + whatever the weight of batteries + motors + speed controllers etc. so without motors batteries and speed controllers I am looking at a weight of around 12-14oz or 396g. I am thinking a 3 motor configuration is what I am after. I would like to be able to carry an additional 5oz of weight (not nessisary but it would be nice)... Performance does not have to be staggering just sufficient. And I am looking for at least 10-12 min of flight time.

Any thoughts on what 3 motor/Battery pack combo I should shoot for?

I would appreciate any help or even a better location to ask for advice if this is not the place.

Thank You.
