RE: Sebart Wind 110
Guys
Got the first three flights on the Wind today, conditions very good ,17oC with about 8mph straight down the runway. Final weight 7lbs 12oz RTF, Scorpion 4025/12, Scorpion Commander 90 ESC, Rhino 3700 20C 6S battery APC 17x10E prop. The Wind flew very well, one click of up trim, at first I thought it lacked power but all the thrust was in the last 1/2" of stick travel, I will have to set up a throttle curve. I am not qualified to comment on the models ability to fly an F3A schedule but for me the performance was superb. Very strong verticals ( Using full power) lovely knife edge, inverted required a breath of forward stick with CG at 190mm back from LE. Used 2900 MA for 6 minute flights.
Only downside was last landing which was a little hot, caught a hole in the grass (very wet and soft) and cracked the landing gear plate. I have stripped out the plate and a fix is straightforward, an hours work or so.
Delighted with the Wind and will be flying again in a couple of days.
