They notified me after they took my money. Maybe not charge customer for a product that not sure they can follow through with till they know it's in stock.
Normally that is exactly what they do.

The charge is not put in until the item is about to be shipped.

However on occasion they may discover a problem with the unit that is about to be shipped, while there are no others available and so you will get an e-mail like you did.

You then have the option of getting a chargeback refund or waiting for the missing items, both of which were offered to you.

Nothing wrong with that at all.

That is not "bad business".
