10lbs out of that? I'd think I'd be pretty disappointed if that were the case. Have a 25cc Mac conversion in a Senior Telemaster that gets almost 11lbs and that's completely stock. Flew the Sportster today for the first time. Has a decent amount of power to perform your standard aerobatics, though not much in the way of vertical performance. I must admit I'm spoiled since I also fly a super sportster ep that has a 475 watt brushless setup in it and it just screams! I'm pretty damn pleased with the performance as there is no noticable difference in performance from a fellow flyer here who has the Giant SS with the recommended Fuji 32. For the 40 or so that I have in it, I must say I'm quite happy! Beats the hell out of 350 - 400 for the Fuji...and hell, mine starts easier too! I'll get some numbers posted on the static thrust...I may try an 18x6 out as I nearly had to stall the engine to slow this thing down enough! Still idles a little high and combine that with plane that likes some space to come in and we're in overshoot territory!! Anyways, hell of a blast to fly...great plane in any size and a pretty good conversion as well..
Make sure you make a TX range check with engine running before flying. Have some person restrain the airplane while checking radio range with no glitching. Good luck Capt,n
