Default RE: c/l 1/2A combat?

This summer, I scratch built a "Combat Cat" replica and scaled it for a Cox .049 to teach my 8 year old son ( And myself again.. ) how to fly C/L

If you want to go "On the cheap" that plane could be duplicated for about $12.00 of wood, $9.00 of covering, and about $8.00 worth of hardware (Add the Engine of your choice)
Unlike the old 1/2A kits like "Combat Kitten" or "Lil' Satan" this one is designed with the latest ideas in mind: Over 240 square inches, really light build (Under 10 oz), Carbon, etc. It has that vintage look but it turns on a dime and fly more like the contemporary combat planes

We fly it with 25ft Dacron lines it's a bit short but it fits our backyard and keeps things interesting as it screams around that little circle no matter what prop we use !

See all the details and Video on my post: [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8830479/anchors_9032371/mpage_3/key_/anchor/tm.htm#9032371]My Combat Cat Post [/link]

After a fair amount of experimentation, it's a Hot flyer on an APC 5.7 X 3 or a Cox 5 X 3 or 5 x 4 and mild but still responsive with an "Unbreakable" Cox 6 X 3

Also, with the lightweight and Carbon re-enforced engine mounts it will do a full speed dive into the grass with no damage whatsoever..

Here's what it looks like
