Most 1/8 buggy racing they want a .21.  For torque and rpm, a .28 will give you torque and the more ports, the more rpm.  For the money, the axial .28 spec1 is a bargian, you get a .28 with 8 ports, i run one in my losi aftershock and I am very happy with it.
