I think part of my problem is coming from racing cars. I allways liked the lighter more nimble cars than the big 1/8 scale stuff.
If that's the case then take a little look at some of the racing type of planes, a Shoe String in 1/4 scale is really small and there are many different models in this class. Now you have a giant scale that is fast and nimble plus they can be flown in IMAA. Bigger isn't always bigger.
