Default 50cc Selection Help

Hello all!!

I am 2 years new to the Sport, I have excelled in the hobby and have whats been told to me as natural ability. I am also a real pilot.

I currrently own Pizazz 46 similar to a Twist 40, Eagle 2, Eaglet, and Kangke Cap 232 1.2. I am planning on buying a 50cc plane this Spring in Toledo or around that time and take the time to build it right and get one more year under my belt of experience. I really like the Dietrich Extra 260 purple, however, Aero Works makes really nice planes I have witnessed first hand and I think thats who I want to go with. My main questions are:

Trying to decide between the Edge 540 or an Extra variant. Im looking for slow speed stability mostly. I have flown my buddies Extra 1.2 and it tends to want to fall out of the sky without a high profile descent and power.

If you say I should go with the Extra over the Edge whats the difference between the Aero-Works 260, 300, and 300LP other than looks? Out of those 3 which would be more stable at slower speeds(fly more like a trainer at slower speeds for lack of better descriptor? I really like the looks of the Edge but want the best handling/performing plane I can get when I stand to spend $2000+
Also anybody have problems with the new AW quick build kits?

Thank you in advance for all of your insightful responses.
