Here is the first test model from the ZPrinter 310. I am quite pleased with the level of detail it has achieved. The printer works by creating 0.1mm layers of a plaster-like powder and then printing onto each layer with a binder solution. Them model is built up, layer by layer, and then must be depowdered and baked for a few hours, before being infiltrated with resin. I guess it is a fairly lengthy process, but if you were going to use it for mass production you would only use it to create the plug and then mould it.
