Aerofly pro / game commander problem
Hi Joe,
Before we start I don't own this software. I do own G2. That said I know a little about computers.
First can you try the Port Thing on another machine to see if its the Thing. What is this thing? Is it a security device or a connector to plug in the Transmitter, or both.
If it checks out on the other machine or you can't do that then be sure the port is not in use and that the it is not conflicting with some other device on the same IRQ. The fastest way to do this is go to Control Panel and then System Icon then hardware. Check for yellow icons. They usually mean something is wrong. If you find anything wrong then you need to fix it.
Also, check the assignment of the Com Ports. Usually the mother boards with two assign these to numbers 1 and 2 but you can have more. For instance an internal modem is usually 3 or 4. Make sure you on a free port and the right port..
Last but it should be first, check the support forum from the software and see if anyone else has the same problem.
I hope I helped a little.
Tom
