It shouldn't make any difference, because (providing everything is machined/manufactured properly ) there should be an annular groove all the way around the inside (that piece w/ the fuel inlet nipple is known as a ''Banjo fitting'' ) so as to feed fuel no matter what the orientation of the fuel nipple is.

This is what I was thinking but was hoping it would fix a problem..
