RE: Engine advice: Should I tear it down??
not to interupt.....but Mick....anytime your not sure its always good to tear it down....with this hobby, eventually you will need to learn how to tear down an engine...cant think of a better way to learn then on a stock sport engine that you can use the engine replacement program...in all actuality it is a good thing to pull the carb and backplate on a new engine and make sure its sealed tight...
I dont know how many times I get asked were do I take my rc's to get fixed by people that seem intrested in rc....this is not a hobby for someone that wants to pull it off the shelf, run it...then put it back on the shelf and expect everything to be ready to go next time they want to run it....unless you have lots of money to pay someone to not only fix your rc but to also maintain it for ya also...
