So just some of the crashes I have had this year!

1) WM P51 on maiden, RX failure and as soon as I take off it has a mind of its own. Total loss.
2) WM T34 during gold trophy race, battery drops below 2.4 limit and RX locks out coming around pylon 2. Crashed just short of the runway managed to get the fuel tank to come right across the runway diagonally. Not that impressive until you know it was a full scale runway.
3) WM P51 during a race, coming around pylon 2 started turn came into the knife edge, and pulled the elevator (normally a full pull) and about half way though the turn a gust of wing tipped the plane over past 90 degrees and I was pulling full elevator at 110 degrees at 120mph and 15ft off the ground. About 1 second between good flight and balsa dust.
4) WM P51 on first flight. I got a second hand P51 to replace the plane in number 3 and I took off on my first flight with it on a check flight before it went to a race as a backup. I took off it went to the left and applying right alieron did not correct, about 2 seconds later the wing was turned into toothpicks. The fuse held up ok. The cause, the elevator pulled out of the horizontal stab and caused a out of trim.

I have learnt some lessons from all of these. They may also not be all the crashes I have had this year.
