Hi,
just completed the refit of my new nose cone unit and it looks very nice in my opinion. This now helps balance this aircraft in more ways than one. With the center screw the nose is off in a trice and back on in another. I will put a safety screw under the nose where its out of sight. the existing one will be exchanged for a black finished version.
The wooden dowel is a piece of broom handle with a screw in M4 threaded centre. I will put a steady bracket in ply just to reinforce this in case of heavy landings that may whip the glue joint. I have already stiffened the whole assembly with some small carbon rod. The A123 batteries are in the right place and the 4200 Lipo comes out with ease for charging. This makes balancing a dream compared with chunks of lead stuffed up the nose !
Looking forward to seeing her fly especially with the new flaps !!
