There is absolutely no reason why you can't use a lipo with the AI series. I do it all the time and don't use a LVC. I time my runs, like I do with my helis. A LVC is recommended though just in case.

Thanks for the info Druss.... So you think it be no problem then to use a lipo with the AI esc?? I do plan to get the LVC just to be on the safe side... As for the voltage as long as I dont go over the 8.4v that the esc can handle I'll be ok correct?
