I will be using the fly wheel side as that is the side that turns in the correct direction and cutting off the other side so I do have to deal with the left handed threads. And yes I will be using electronic ignition or could go with gas /glow,as I have had good luck with that on some of my other engines and I need to cut down some of the weight.
Also I don't know if you noticed or not but there is a plate on the other side of engine to move the carb to the other side if need be.What if anything would happen if you did this?
