Default RE: ARC Jupiter

here is my new plane. There were few troubles, mostly with the engine mounting in a tight space. I threw away the tank. It's too small. I used a 13oz Dubro. Be sure not to install the landing block before you install then engine and gas tank if you want to do my way. I put CG at 85 mm, and actually it balanced itself with an Evolution 46 upfront, and 4 AA batteries side by side with the fuel tank. Sideway balanced itself too. I don't have to add any extra weight. The stock color looks uh uh. I sprayed the fuse and wings with a white can paint I bought at Lowe; the tail assembly, wing jointner, and propeller were sprayed in blue to match the blue spinner. Hey, y'all need to enlarge the holes of the spinner a little bit to fit the prop. One more thing: the wings felt unsecured with just one bolt. I drilled a hole at the front edge of the wing to fit a dowel, and a hole in the fuse for the dowel to fit in. This plane is simple. I tossed it in my wagon, worry free about scratches that are so common with balsa coverings. In case you mood changes, just sand the old paint away, and spray on whatever you like. When the day is over, an old T-shirt and Windex should make it shine like son of the gun. Out there some where, in the October blue sky and a white plane and the engine roars, uh uh, it's just.... perfect.
