got three of the ar500 rx. one lasted two weeks..and dead. wouldn't bind or even lite up. didn't damage anything, it happened on the groung. sent it back to horizon three weeks ago. no response,so i called them. there sending me a new one, whenever they get them in. for a few dollars more i would buy a 6100 or 6200 they don't seem to cause as much trouble . .........................GEETER
The AR6100 is a parkflyer receiver and costs less than AR500. The AR6200 is Full range and costs a few dollars more than the AR500. I personally would use the AR500 over the AR6100 in either a parkflyer or a larger plane. I think there have been more issues with the AR6100 than the AR500. If I needed 6 channels I would definetly go with the AR6200.
