not at all.I am making mine 60 inches and for what I want thats plenty.I am looking at dl's new DL30 for an extra 260 I have yet to put together.I was going with with a G26 but the weight difference is significant enough to try the new DL.As for the tail feathers several of us have asked the same and may enlarge it a bit and like you I am not building it to win a contest just something unquie and and I love the looks.I am in the process of getting the materials together and contacted fiberglass specialtes about the cowl.I know I can make one if need be but I was supposed to get them some measurements as they have one but neither of us is sure it would fit.hope you have some pics to share when its done.
