That's the thing with a Saito. They run so darn good in any condition that finding the problem can be a pain. Was helping a guy with a new Saito 125 on a customers plane. It would run but fuel would burble, bubble, and pour out of the exhaust even at idle. After looking for some obvious problem like too much tank pressure, bad carb, etc., it turned out that the low speed needle was just set way too rich. Now how many engines will run fine with fuel pouring out of them?
